The Marvels Cast & Characters

In “The Marvels,” Captain Marvel has company with Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, who gained powers in “WandaVision” and returns as an adult. Ms. Marvel, portrayed by Iman Vellani, joins the MCU after her successful Disney Plus series. Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as Nick Fury, fresh from thwarting a Skrull invasion. And don’t forget Goose the Cat, an alien feline and Captain Marvel’s loyal pet, making a furry addition.
In secondary characters, we’ll encounter some recognizable figures, like Saagar Sheikh playing Amir (Kamala’s Brother), Zenobia Shroff as Muniba (Kamala’s Mother), and Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf (Kamala’s Father), revisiting their parts from the Ms. Marvel series.
Who is Goose the Cat

The Marvels trailer introduces Goose, a fluffy cat with a deceptive appearance. However, Goose isn’t your typical feline. Hailing from a race of alien creatures known as Flerken, these beings resemble Earth cats but have distinct features. They lay eggs, are carnivorous, and equipped with large tentacles for capturing and consuming their prey.
After the events of Captain Marvel (2019), Carol Danvers adopted Goose, who was originally left on Earth by Mar-Vell and found by Nick Fury at the Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. base. Fury cared for Goose before passing the cat to Captain Marvel. It’s worth noting that Goose is the reason behind Fury wearing an eyepatch. Plot of The Marvels: What’s the story?
Regarding The Marvels’ storyline, Marvel is known for secrecy, but we’ve uncovered some plot details. In a Reddit post by MarvelStudios_Rumors and the latest trailer, we’ve learned that the film explores Captain Marvel’s powers destabilized by Dar-Benn using a bangle similar to Ms. Marvel’s. This connects their abilities with Monica Rambeau and Ms. Marvel’s. While they try to understand this, a grave threat endangers the universe.
An exclusive Entertainment Weekly image shows Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, at the SABER battle station with Skrulls in the background.
In Marvel’s Secret Invasion finale, Nick Fury was last seen returning to the SABER space station, where he’ll reappear in The Marvels. Although the Skrulls’ role in the movie is uncertain, there’s a chance we’ll see Carol fulfilling her promise to provide the Skrulls with a new home planet.
In the Secret Invasion finale’s closing moments, Nick Fury discusses a potential peace treaty between Skrulls and Kree, hinting at the long-awaited possibility of the Skrulls finding their promised home.

The Marvels Villain

In “The Marvels,” Dar-Benn, originally a Kree general who stoked conflict between Skrulls and Kree, now portrayed as a female by Zawe Ashton, wields an Accusers’ Hammer, akin to Ronan’s weapon in “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
The Marvels Post Credit Scene (Rumored)
Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau return in “The Marvels,” poised to become Marvel’s top-grossing film. Beyond box office success, an intriguing post-credits scene hints at a meet-up between Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) and Kate Bishop. They’ll discuss Cassie Lang, linking to the upcoming Ironheart series with Dominique Thorne.
Notably, Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart appeared in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Eli Bradley, played by Elijah Richardson, who transforms into Patriot, was introduced in “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” Lastly, we encountered America Chavez, portrayed by Xochitl Gomez, in “Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.
Wondering why I’m discussing these young heroes? Here’s the reason. Back in 2005, Marvel released a comic titled “Young Avengers #1,” featuring these very heroes. What I’m getting at is that if these rumors hold true, “The Marvels” might pave the way for a live-action adaptation of the Young Avengers, uniting these youthful heroes. The likelihood of this happening is quite high, especially since the original Avengers team has moved on.
Isn’t that exciting? To confirm, we’ll have to await “The Marvels” release on November 10, 2023.
